Since the time it was spoken thousands of years ago, Srila Prabhupada's translation has been the most revolutionary. It has impacted millions of people turning them overnight into Krishna bhaktas. It is this transformation that millions of Bhagavad Gita As It Is has been published and distributed in last 50 years.  This would make BG As It Is a Bestseller for last 50 years!

Although there were many  translations of Gita available when  Srila Prabhupada wrote his translation,  there were hardly any that  presented Krishna's message as it is.  In fact,  many translations  created confusion in the minds of the readers.  Srila Prabhupada wrote about this :  "All the unauthorized interpretations of the Gītā by the class of māyayāpahṛta-jñānāḥ, outside the purview of the paramparā system, are so many stumbling blocks on the path of spiritual understanding. The deluded interpreters do not surrender unto the lotus feet of Śrī Kṛṣṇa, nor do they teach others to follow this principle" -- BG 7.15 Purport
On the contrary, those who read BG As It Is were inspired to surrender their lives to the service of Lord Krishna. The proof this inspiration is the widespread ISKCON movement around the world. 

These days more and more people are buying books on Amazon. Amazon has lots of english translations available for Bhagavad Gita. Many new speculative interpreters are promoting their Gita interpretations with heavy sponsorship/marketing. This means that Gita As It Is doesn't show up top on the list. Hence the seekers end up buying translations that are not authorized. It is our desire to make Gita As It Is a Bestseller on Amazon.
